Sarah's first day of school - Fourth Grade! Posted by Picasa

Back to School

Sarah started back to school today.  I can’t believe it.  She’s in FOURTH grade.  She is growing up so fast.  As we’ve done every year since she started school, we’ve taken her picture in front of the birch tree, and I will post it later today.  She is getting so big.  Maybe I will go and find all the old ‘first day’ pictures, and post them too.  I’m sure when she gets home, she will have plenty of stories to tell about her first day, so I will post more later.

The twins also start school soon.  9/19 is their first day.  I will certainly have pictures from that, and will post them as soon as I get them.  I’m sure the day will be more traumatic for Bridget than for the twins, but I’ll keep you all posted.

New Venture

New Venture?

I love to talk to people about technical stuff.  Nothing specific, just all things technical.  People come to me all the time looking for help, and I am always willing to share what I know.  Bridget seems to think that I should start a business doing tech support consulting, but I’m not sure how it would work out.  Her idea did get me thinking about it, and I’ve decided to start another blog about sharing technical information.  You can check it out here:

Tech Knowledge Transfer

I’m not sure what it will lead to, but who knows, maybe it’ll take off.

Feel free to post any questions you might have, and I will do my best to answer them.

Talk to you all soon.

End of Summer

End of Summer

We’re coming to the end of the season, and it was a great summer.  All the girls had a great summer.  Sarah is getting ready to go back to school.  She will be starting the fourth grade.  Can you believe it?  I certainly can’t.  The twins will also be starting school in September.  They will be going two days a week for two hours a day.  A little bit of social interaction for them.  Bridget seems to think that they are going to have a hard time with it, but I think it’s going to be Bridget that has the more difficult time.  We’ll have to see what happens.

Sarah is always a good sport when it comes to the girls. Posted by Picasa

Maggie loved the water.....as long as it stayed far away from her. Posted by Picasa

In the beginning of the week, Maggie wouldn't go to the water, so we brought it to her. Posted by Picasa

Sometimes they love each other "so very much" as Emma would say.  Posted by Picasa

Google AdSense

Google AdSense

So this thing that you see over on the right-hand side of this page that looks like advertising for different products or services…….well, that’s exactly what it is.  Google has a program that is called AdSense, and it works something like this.

It looks at the information on this webpage, and decides what would be a good advertisement to place on the page, based on keywords that it recognizes.  So for instance, if I had a website that talked about Minolta digital cameras, you might see an ad for Konica Minolta.

I have no control over what appears there, so if you see something you don’t like, there’s not much that I can do about it.

BUT………

If you see anything that you do like, feel free to click on the link.

I guess as time goes on, the links will change depending on what I write in the blog.

Good luck, and let me know if you find anything interesting.
