Sarah's First Day of School 2007

 Here is Sarah on her first day of school, 2007. I can't believe I am writing this, but she is in 6th grade now. Bridget and I are so proud of the young lady that she has become.

Emma and Maggie

Here are Maggie and Emma on their first day of school. They are in pre-school four days a week. They love their teacher, Mrs Sikes. So far their favorite thing to do is play outside on the playground. Let's hope that they're actually learning something when they're not on the playground.

I'll post pictures of Sarah's first day in a little bit.

Maggie and Emma's First Day of School

It's that time again. A little later than anticipated, but Emma and Maggie are finally back in school. This is their second year in pre-school, and they are going four days a week for about two and a half hours per day.

I didn't get to see them off on their first day because I was playing in the 8th annual Frank Mogee Golf Outing, but Bridget did take pictures, and I'll be posting them soon.

When I finally got home from golf, Maggie and Emma told me all about their day. They love their new teachers, and made lots of new friends. The best part about their first day was playing outside. Not a big surprise there.

Of course the first day didn't go by without a little bit of trouble; Emma had a fever last night of about 102, so it seems like the first day really took a lot out of her. I'm sure she'll be fine, and back in school on Wednesday, but I'll post again to let you know for sure.

Family Vacation

We got back from Sea Isle City, NJ a few weeks ago, and the trip was great. The weather was perfect, and the water was beautiful. We spent many days on the beach, we took Sarah to the water park in Wildwood, and I even got to golf a few rounds (I should have saved my money, but that's for another post.). I'll see about posting some pictures of the trip soon.

Sarah's First Pitch!!!

OK, OK, it's been a while, but this is REALLY cool stuff that I wanted to share.

Sarah doing what she does best....Smiling! She is always so happy (at least most of the time), and she always has a smile on her face. This was taken at the shore in February when we went down for a long weekend. We had a great time, and I hope we do it again next year. The weather was cold (to be expected in February), but sunny and beautiful. It was a great weekend.

Here are the twins in their birthday dresses. They really loved these outfits. 

Germs in the House

Well, the past two weeks have been interesting to say the least. Starting on Wednesday 3/15, Sarah was awake all night puking. Out of school on Thursday, and then in-service day off on Friday. Good timing. The cause of this illness has been described by Maggie and Emma as a bug in Sarah's stomach. Of course over the next 7-10 days the 'bug' moved from person to person in the house. On Friday night Emma became the second victim, followed by what we thought was Maggie on Saturday. Unfortunately for her, she only threw up one time. I say unfortunately, because on Wednesday the 'bug' took up residence in her belly, and stayed for a while. However, in between Emma and Maggie, our little creature made a pit-stop in Bridget. Sunday night, and all day Monday, Bridget was in bed. All I can say is, knock-wood, I have yet to fall victim to this horrible virus. I hope all has passed in our household (although Emma still seems to have some residual effects), and I am spared this time.

Three Amigas!

Here are the three girls posing for a picture at a recent birthday party. The pinata had just been smashed open, and they were eating all the candy in sight. They rarely sit together for pictures, let alone while sugared-up! I managed to get about four or five shots, and this was the best.

Here is Emma making her silly face. She did this for about a two weeks straight. Not really sure where she got it, but she seems to have stopped recently.

Our Day at Merrymead Farm!

Here are Grace and Sarah being silly at Merrymead Farm. We were there the Friday before Halloween, and we had a great time. Sarah got a really big pumpkin, but unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to carve it. Maybe we'll carve a Thanksgiving Day pumpkin with a big turkey! 

More first day of school

Emma and Maggie - First Day of School

So the twins had their first day of school (back in September), and it was short lived. They lasted a total of one day! We're hoping that next year is different, but they did not want to be there at all. Two weeks later we would drive by their school building, and they would say "I no go to school". It was obviously very truamatic for them. Oh well, maybe next time.

Other than that, they are doing very well. A little sick at the beggining of this cold season, but they are getting so big, and overall are pretty healthy.

We measured them the other day, and they both have grown about 4 inches in the past 11 months. It doesn't sond like a lot, but when you see it on their growth chart, it looks like it would be painful! 

Halloween 2005

Here is Emma, Sarah, and Maggie on Halloween 2005. Emma and Maggie are witches, and Sarah is a bag of Jelly Belly jelly beans. This was a great halloween, and everyone had alot of fun.

Sarah started back to school today. I can’t believe it. She’s in FOURTH grade. She is growing up so fast. As we’ve done every year since she started school, we’ve taken her picture in front of the birch tree, and I've posted it below. She is getting so big. Maybe I will go and find all the old ‘first day’ pictures, and post them too (wasn't able to find as many as I had hoped to, but there are two others below). I’m sure when she gets home, she will have plenty of stories to tell about her first day, so I will post more later. Sarah LOVED her first day. She had a lot of stories to tell, and I'm sure this is going to be a great year for her. The twins also start school soon. 9/19 is their first day. I will certainly have pictures from that, and will post them as soon as I get them. I’m sure the day will be more traumatic for Bridget than for the twins, but I’ll keep you all posted.
